Hawaii Repertory Theatre wishes to gratefully acknowledge the generous contribution from Admor Group, Inc.; making it possible to air condition our newly reconfigured performance space housed in the historic Princess Kawananakoa Auditorum. We look forward to sharing this gift with our patrons during the coming 2007/2008 season.
As of January, 2007 the first stage of renovations of the historic Princess Kawananakoa Auditorium are nearly completed. According to Hawaii Repertory Theatre's Executive Director, Brian Lee Sackett, "The renovations include a flexible configuration; creating, in essence, two completely different performance spaces. While the large 800 seat house is still used for major school and community functions, the "Backstage Theatre" configuration creates an intimate 100 seat theatre, perfect for our needs. In listening to our patrons, the Kawananakoa Backstage Theatre provides comfortable seating with excellent sight lines, air conditioning, and wonderful acoustics."
Hawaii Repertory Theatre is currently seeking directors and designers for its upcoming productions. Call (808) 545-7170 for more information or to schedule an interview appointment. Interested applicants should be able to provide a portfolio of previous work upon request.
